commentThrough a contract award, EXCEL Maintenance Services has assumed the role of maintenance and process operations contractor at the Mosaic Uncle Sam and Faustina, La., production facilities.
The agreement, which consolidates work previously performed by multiple contractors, includes all aspects of the two facilities’ maintenance, product handling, barge and ship dock operations, and production unit operations support.
EXCEL’s ability to support Mosaic with not only craft labor, but also engineering, multi-discipline construction and fabrication on an “as needed” basis proved to be a factor in the company’s selection.
EXCEL recently assisted in the execution of the largest turnaround in Mosaic’s Louisiana Operations history.
The successful contract transition, maintenance,and turnaround support prompted Mosaic Louisiana Operations to nominate EXCEL for the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) Contractor Craft Workforce Development Excellence Award.
