PBG Builders wins AGC safety award

PBG Builders Inc. of Nashville, Tenn., was named first place winner of the 2009 National Construction Safety and Excellence Award presented by The Associated General Contractors of America.

PBG Builders won first place in the 100,000 hours worked division. The award was presented to PBG Builders during AGC’s 90th Annual National Convention in San Diego.

Earlier this year, PBG Builders won the top prize in the Tennessee construction safety competition, which qualified the company to compete with construction companies from 49 other states for the national award.

The AGC Construction Safety and Excellence Awards are presented based on the decision of a distinguished independent panel of judges. The judges carefully evaluate evidence of a company’s management commitment, employee participation, safety training, work site hazard identification and control and safety program innovation.
