Rentenbach Constructors opens new Chattanooga office

Rentenbach Constructors Inc. announced through its corporate headquarters in Knoxville, Tenn., the establishment of a new office at 651 East 4th Street, Suite 403, (University Tower), in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Rentenbach was established in Knoxville in 1946 by Major T. J. Rentenbach, who founded the company following a supervisory role for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in building much of the war-time construction in Oak Ridge, Tenn., as well as portions of the manufacturing facilities for the “Manhattan Project.”

The company is a diversified contractor annually completing numerous religious, educational, collegiate, commercial, healthcare, office, industrial and retail projects. Projects range in value from several thousand dollars to more than $100 million, geographically encompassing 23 states from Florida to Michigan and North Carolina to Texas.

Memphis-based company named in Top 100 Security Integrators list

Dillard Door & Security Inc. of Memphis, Tenn., hit an industry milestone after it was recently ranked as a Top 100 Security Integration Company. The Memphis-based door and security systems business was included for the third time in Security Distribution and Marketing Magazine’s list of the Top 100 Security System Integrators in the United States.

The report ranks, by revenue, the largest firms that contract electronic security projects for commercial, industrial, institutional, government and other non-residential markets. For ranking purposes, these are businesses that derive more than half of their revenue from the sale, design/engineering, installation and service of multi-technology electronic security systems, such as access control and identification, video surveillance, alarms, perimeter security and other network-based technologies.

Dillard, an ndustrial door and security systems company, has progressed in recent years from a door controls business with a focused line of offerings into an expanded one which has added camera and alarm systems, biometric access controls and sensing devices.

By doing so, it has broadened its client base and has grown at least 200% over the last seven years. This time period coincides directly with current president Chris W. Bird’s purchase of the company.
