| Skanska begins construction of
Nissan headquarters Skanska USA Building Inc. of Parsippany, N. J.,
has begun construction in Franklin, Tenn., of a new $100 million headquarters
for Nissan North America. Gresham Smith and Partners of Nashville is the project's
designer. The headquarters will measure 450,000 sq ft and include an 1,135-space
parking garage. Skanska began site preparation of the site in July. Completion
is scheduled for 2008. Nissan moved its North American headquarters to the BellSouth
building in Nashville last summer. It was previously located in Gardena, Calif.
JMJ Holdings announces mixed-use Biltmore project
JMJ Holdings recently announced that it's on a fast track with its
2,000-acre multi-use development in West Nashville. Tim Barton, president
and CEO of JMJ, said, "All the pieces have come together for the Biltmore
project. We've got the master plan, the infrastructure and the financing in place."
The Biltmore is a mixed-use development, including townhomes, single-family
and multi-family homes. JMJ is currently negotiating for joint ventures on the
retail sector. |
