Batten & Shaw lands federal plant expansion project

Batten & Shaw of Nashville, Tenn., has broken ground on a central plant expansion at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Biloxi, Miss. When completed, the project will provide chilled water, hot water and steam necessary to support future expansions at the hospital.

Winning the project was a milestone for Batten & Shaw, marking the first project for Batten & Shaw with the federal government and the first joint venture partnership.

“We are grateful to be partnered with Whitesell-Green of Pensacola, Fla., on this project,” said Danny Shaw, executive vice president of Batten & Shaw.

“They have an excellent track record with the federal government and we work well together. This is our first win as a team and we are optimistic about winning more work with them going forward.”
