Burns Cooley Dennis wins award for bridge project

Burns Cooley Dennis Inc., a Mississippi-based geotechnical and materials engineering firm with an office in Gulfport, received a 2009 National Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) for its work on the U.S. 90 over St. Louis Bay Bridge project.

BCD submitted with HNTB Corp. of Kansas City, Mo., and the team received the award as one of the Top 25 projects by American engineering companies throughout the world during ACEC’s annual Engineering Excellence Awards program in Washington, D.C. The EEA Gala was held April 28 at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel.
