M. J. Harris begins construction on patient tower addition at River Oaks Hospital

The new $37 million patient tower addition at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson, Miss., will add 81 beds and 150,000 sq ft of new space to accommodate the healthcare needs of the growing community.

M. J. Harris Inc. is the general contractor on the project.

Included in the scope of work will be a neo-natal intensive care unit, an OB/GYN unit, a Medical/Surgical unit, a central energy plant and will feature a rooftop garden. The patient tower addition is expected to complete in August 2009.

M. J. Harris was included in the Top Ten General Contractors List by Modern Healthcare Magazine for 2007 and 2008.
