Brasfield & Gorrie starts healthcare project in Mississippi

Brasfield & Gorrie of Birmingham has been hired by Mississippi Baptist Health Systems to construct its hospital expansion project in Jackson. 

The 167,000-sq-ft facility will be dedicated to heart and women’s services. Construction began in October and is scheduled to be completed in late summer 2008.

In addition to Baptist Health Systems and Brasfield & Gorrie, the project team also includes Centex Concord, program manager; Dean and Dean/Associates, architect; Structural Design Group, structural engineer; H.E.S.M. & Associates, mechanical engineer; Jon D. Rice & Associates, electrical engineer; Spencer Engineers Inc., civil engineer; and Christopher B. Hoffman Landscape, landscape architect.
