Sunbelt opens in Ocean Springs

Sunbelt Rentals of Charlotte, N.C., recently opened its newest full-service rental branch in Ocean Springs, Miss. The branch was Sunbelt's 23rd opening of the recent fiscal year and brings the company's number of locations to 209.

The Ocean Springs location is Sunbelt's first in Mississippi and further expands the company's rental business in the Gulf. The branch is nearly 9,800 sq. ft. on three acres and is located in the heart of Ocean Springs.

The branch's fleet includes a range of specialty, industrial and commercial contractor equipment, as well as a substantial inventory for the DIY and small contractor markets.

David Williams, branch manager, is from Ocean Springs and since 2001 has managed a Sunbelt branch in Savannah, Ga.

Mississippi DOT awards design-build bridge replacement project

The Mississippi Department of Transportation recently awarded Key LLC and Williford, Gearhart and Knight Inc. Engineers and Surveyors a design-build project for the replacement of two bridges in Scott County, Mississippi, along MS Hwy. 21.

The project requires the replacement of two bridges over Hontokalo Creek along MS Hwy. 21, a two-lane, rural highway north of Interstate 20 between Steele and Sebastopol. The project should be completed by December.
