Little Rock airport extends runway

Runway 4-Right/22-Left, the commercial service runway east of the terminal at Little Rock National Airport, has been closed for construction of a 1,050-ft. extension of the runway. The $8.7 million project is expected to be completed by December.

Frito-Lay receives approval for bonds

The City of Jonesboro, Ark., recently approved an ordinance to issue $67 million in industrial development bonds for the Frito-Lay North America plant in Jonesboro.
The money will be used to expand the company's chip line and add 100 jobs.
