State's highest point to get lodge-conference center

Mount Magazine State Park broke ground this spring on the construction of a new lodge and 13 cabins.

The $32.6 million project includes a three-wing lodge-conference center complex measuring 126,177 sq. ft. It will have 60 rooms.

The cabins with have one to three bedrooms.

Mount Magazine is the highest point in the state and is situated in the Ozark National Forest. A 2006 opening is expected.
