VOLVO rents signs contract for new franchises

Volvo Construction Equipment Rents Inc., Asheville, N.C., recently signed a franchise contract for new Volvo Rents equipment centers in the Mobile area.

Cook Coastal Rentals Inc., owned by Miles Cook of Spanish Fort, entered into a Volvo Rents franchise agreement to own and operate Volvo Rents centers in Spanish Fort and Montrose.

Each Volvo Rents center is an independently owned and operated Volvo Construction Equipment Rents franchise within the Volvo Construction Equipment rental program. The rental centers will carry, in addition to Volvo construction equipment, a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial and homeowner markets.

The Volvo Rents program covers all aspects of an operating rental business model and was designed and developed by Volvo Construction Equipment Rents. Principal Volvo products for its rental centers include its line of compact excavators and wheel loaders and the company's new backhoe and skid steer loaders.

Volvo Rents, which began its franchise rental program in 2001, now has rental centers open and doing business in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina, California, Tennessee, Ohio, Louisiana, New York and Georgia.
