In the breakout rankings, the Top 5 electrical contractors are MMR Group Inc. of Baton Rouge; YTG LLC of Tupelo; Industrial Specialty Contractors LLC of Baton Rouge; The Newtron Group Inc. of Baton Rouge; and Enterprise Electric LLC of Nashville.

The Top 5 mechanical contractors are Bernhard Mechanical Contractors Inc. of Lafayette, La.; Ivey Mechanical Co. of Kosciusko, Miss.; Excel Group Inc. of Prairieville, La.; Gallo Mechanical Contractors Inc. of Metairie, La.; and Nashville Machine Co. Inc. of Nashville, Tenn.

To develop the ranking, South Central Construction mailed surveys to a database of companies identified as potential top specialty contractors.

Sources used to create the database include McGraw-Hill Construction Dodge, various economic development agencies and construction associations, and back issues of Engineering News-Record and South Central Construction. Every effort was made to obtain accurate and complete company information, and the information was verified with contractors.
