Top South Central construction projects

Region's biggest jobs ranked by contract cost

South Central Construction magazine is pleased to present its annual "Top Projects" listing, which ranks by contract cost those projects that broke ground in 2005.

To accurately reflect the diversity of the region's construction market, the projects were ranked within a region-wide Top 25 Projects list, then ranked within Top 5 lists in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Every effort was made to obtain accurate and complete project information, and the project information was verified with both project owners and general contractors.

Please note the projects that follow began their construction phase, or broke ground, in 2005. Therefore, there may be some sizable active projects that are not included in the list.

Projects that begin construction this year will be considered for next year's ranking, should they qualify.

We would like to thank the companies and owners that cooperated in this annual effort. They are the ones that make these lists possible.
